In the energy industry, shrinking margins driven by competition and new sources of energy are forcing an increased focus on improving operational efficiency. Organizations must center their attention on activities that prolong the life of their existing assets, known as ‘brownfield projects’, as a key to remaining viable.
With these releases, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing content solutions which enable services that range from streamlining exploration efforts to bridging asset operations and brownfield projects and beyond, all designed to create greater functionality and lower TCO.
Regulatory compliance investigations, exams, and even litigation actions are very common for organizations in highly regulated industries like financial services. The problem our customer often face is how best to respond to these potentially laborious and costly actions. Today’s corporations require a flexible solution that can preserve the value of enterprise information – to comply with retention and compliance requirements – in an easily accessible, unified archive.
We have listened to our customers, and today in at Momentum 2016 Barcelona, we announced our Dell EMC InfoArchive 4.2 solution will be generally available by the end of 2016. The newest version enables large-scale application retirement, optimization of production environments and facilitates application data integration and reuse – supporting new users, cloud applications and analytics. It also enhances the ability for administrators and knowledge workers to search and export data managed by the InfoArchive platform.
I know that I speak on behalf of our entire extended team that this one feels extra special. Attaining leadership in a highly competitive industry such as Enterprise Content Management (ECM) requires great vision and execution. Sustaining leadership requires adaptability to change. Most market pundits believe that the pace of change is accelerating. Entire industries are getting reconfigured and disrupted at an unprecedented rate. The ECM industry is certainly going through a shift, with organizations looking to harness their content to drive their digital future.
It was Einstein who said, “Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them,” which is certainly the case for the EMC InfoArchive product. Only two years ago, we formally launched the InfoArchive product and it’s been a rocket ship ever since, pushing the limits of what’s expected from an archiving solution, over and over again.
Today at EMC, we are taking a huge step forward in modernizing service and support for today’s modern data center. We are excited to announce MyService360, a personalized online service dashboard available to all of our customers. Customers are demanding more proactive, predictive, and solutions-oriented experiences, and EMC has redoubled its efforts on capabilities that will meet that demand.
