It’s no secret that the enterprise file, sync and share market has exploded in the last few years, with clear players racing to be the “must have” cloud service solution to improve your business.  The problem is customers still struggle to understand what’s best for them in the long run.

Today, I’m delighted to announce that Syncplicity has been positioned as a “Leader” in Gartner’s very first Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing.  We believe this report is a true testament to the evolution of the workplace: to easily and securely share files in the enterprise is no longer an option, but rather a priority.

At Syncplicity we believe it’s our maniacal focus on user experience and our ability to offer customers options for data storage (on-premises, off-premises or hybrid cloud) that make that priority a no-brainer. For users, we still live by the mantra that design matters; Syncplicity is functionally beautiful, easy to navigate and visually stunning. For IT, we deliver a completely secure, controllable cloud environment that will connect to existing enterprise applications, like Documentum or SharePoint.  It’s been our unwavering goal to build an app that’s amazing to use, functionally and aesthetically strong and uncompromisingly secure.

We’ve been around the track a time or two, and have noticed that while others less than stellar apps tend force it one way or another, it’s clear that true hybrid storage strategies should not require enterprises to compromise security for cost savings or user experience.

The good news is we believe Syncplicity is in the lead. We’ve listened to our customers and developed a solution that is not black and white, but a combination of what enterprise users crave (beautiful user experience) and IT departments demand (hybrid cloud choices and the utmost in security).

According to the report, “leaders provide mature offerings that meet market demand. They have demonstrated the vision necessary to sustain their market positions as requirements evolve.”

Syncplicity’s position on the Magic Quadrant aside, it’s our unique approach to file syncing and sharing that has really edged us out in front.
