Today at Momentum @ EMC World 2013, IIG announced key enhancements across its Documentum portfolio including the availability of EMC® Documentum® Enterprise Migration Appliance (EMA), a fast and cost-effective solution to support migration projects. By utilizing EMA, customers can minimize the risk reduce migration costs by 50% and migration time by up to 90%!

Customers asked EMC’s Information Intelligence Group (IIG) to give them a clear path to the cloud which they can pursue with confidence. We’ve removed the inhibitors and delivered on that promise.

Following the release of the EMC Documentum 7.0 platform, IIG continues to empower its customers with the technologies and services needed to transition smoothly to the most trusted cloud-ready, content management platform.

The latest enhancements to the Documentum portfolio continue to enable customers to increase productivity, improve collaboration and assure governance in the cloud.

The real power is when everything comes together in new and enabling ways. The latest EMC Documentum D2 4.1 along with the EMC Syncplicity Connector for Documentum, enables D2 users to synchronize and share content securely through the public cloud with other employees, customer, partners, and suppliers on a smart phone or tablet.

Now that’s working the way you want! Jeetu Patel explained it well in a recent blog post.

Even existing Documentum applications built on interfaces like Webtop or TaskSpace can now fully leverage the power and performance of the Documentum 7.0 platform in the cloud. Captiva 7.0 and the Captiva Cloud Toolkit also provide essential, easy-to-deploy cloud-ready capture technology for customers to build scanning applications embedded within any web-based solution.

As you can see, with EMC’s content management portfolio, much like in the book Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, which was recently adapted into a feature film — past, present, future — everything is connected.

But the platform can only take you so far. True business transformation is achieved through solutions. EMC‘s new solutions leverage Documentum platform to help customers in Energy, Life Sciences and Healthcare address industry- specific information management challenges and quickly achieve business transformational value. But we haven’t stopped there.

We also have a best of class global partner ecosystem that provides tested, proven solutions that extend the functionality of products from IIG. The EMC Certified Solution program demonstrates a shared commitment by EMC and its partners to deliver solutions that drive business value for customers.

With such a clear path of innovation, when will your journey start? We’re ready when you are!
